Anne-Marie Leblanc
Founder, Eagle Spirit Wellness
Spiritual guide. Mediator. Educator. Workplace consultant. Public speaker. And a steadfast advocate for Indigenous Peoples across North America.
Throughout her decades-long career, Anne-Marie’s sole mission and passion has been to increase Indigenous cultural awareness, build solid and long-lasting relationships between Indigenous Peoples and employers, and help bridge gaps on the road to Reconciliation.
Anne-Marie’s close ties to Indigenous Peoples began from her time as a foster parent. Over several years, she fostered many children, many of whom were Indigenous. Then in the 1990s, by spending time on reserves listening to elders’ teachings, she cultivated a deep respect and appreciation of the culture—and learned first-hand about residential schools and their lingering repercussions.
Seeing the contemporary struggles Indigenous Peoples continue to face, Anne-Marie was inspired to pursue her studies. Since then, she has devoted much of her time to bringing cultural awareness to the masses, with an aim to dismantle the many stigmas and biases surrounding Indigenous issues.
